If you'd rather keep your media as plain files instead of importing them into Photos, Chat Memories can copy them to any folder on your Mac.

How to export to a folder

    Click "Select" in the toolbar

    This enters multi-select mode.

    Click the items you want to export

    Select as many items as you like — from a handful to an entire conversation.

    Click "Export to Folder"

    Choose a destination folder. All selected files are copied there at once, using their original filenames.

Files keep their original names and are copied — not moved — from the backup. Your backup is never modified.
